The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Lean Value Stream Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Collaborating with cross functional teams during design, construction, installation, and qualification of Command™ converting and packaging projects in 3M Clinton
  • Leading plant efforts in capacity improvement projects and New Product Introductions in the Command™ value stream utilizing appropriate product change management systems
  • Utilizing LSS methodology to drive improvements in unit cost, PPU and product quality
  • Leading supplier management relating to assigned products
  • Driving EHS alignment of Command™ products and raw materials through efforts with the plant Safety department (MOC, TSCA, IH, etc)

Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Currently possess or in the final year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Experience in product engineering, process engineering, project engineering or management, and/or quality engineering in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Technical experience in rotary converting and/or automated packaging
  • Supplier management experience
  • Demonstrated results leading product improvement projects
  • LSS Green Belt Certification

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
