Job Description:

Scope:Project Management Leads capital projects of medium to large size and complexity for manufacturing, laboratory, and other areas, regionally, as needed. Proactively addresses business and technical issues for early identification of issues affecting project success. Leads coordination of complex project timelines. Works with business partners, suppliers, plant and engineering personnel, as well as appropriate management to develop and confirm project status, timelines, and cost.Design, Procurement, Installation and CommissioningPlans and oversees complex installations, checkouts and startups of new and existing equipment and facilities. Provides accurate project and equipment documentation, such as project cost, schedules, drawings and equipment manuals.Financial Responsibility Manages financial aspects of project teams, including estimating expenditures and capital spending, contributing to the creation of AFEs, purchasing materials and/or services, monitoring and tracking costs and payments.Intellectual Property, Regulations and Compliance. Protects the company’s employees, assets, and intellectual property. Contributes to the development of proprietary technology positions. Follows and promotes governmental and corporate business conduct, safety, health, and environmental policies and practices, including Engineering guidelines, standards, and specifications. Leadership. Manages business relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. Participates in and leads teams. Applies knowledge of key corporate initiatives and appropriate tools. Leads and participates in Engineering Manufacturing Technology Organization (EMTO)/Engineering Manufacturing Technology Chapters (EMTC) and Disruptive Technology (DT) activities.


A Bachelor level university/college degree in the Engineering, Sciences or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, with at least 2 years in Engineering, Plant Engineering and/or Manufacturing.Ability to travel overseas up to 25%.Learn more about 3M’s creative solutions to the world’s problems at or on Twitter @3M.
