Work withintheData Servicesteamto ensure high qualityreporting and data analysis,which drive key decisions in ASOS.
Working withthe Senior MicroStrategyEngineers,toset andmaintainstandards and development practices
Working withan agile, cross functional team taking responsibility for the engineering team deliverables and quality.
Beinga keen advocate of quality and continual improvement
Work closely withLeadEngineersto ensure toolset/availability/functionality
Key Skills and Experience
Experiencein all components of the MicroStrategy Stack - MSTR Projects (logical models/schema objects), Intelligent Cubes, Reports, and Documents.
Able to assist withfuture enhancements, such as MicroStrategy version upgrades, project rollouts and architecture modifications.
Experience with Power BIand DAX
Exceptional analytical skills, problem solving skills and excellent communications skills.
Excellent knowledge of data visualisation principles and skills –including good user experience/UI Design within BI solutions.
Knowledge of OLAP concepts, Data warehousing, Data Marts and the concepts of Business Dashboards, Scorecards
Strong background in Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modellingtechniquesfrom a Kimball and/orInmonperspective
Experience of working with complex data models and large volume tableswith a good knowledge of query performance tuning identification and resolution (either with Database Engineering/DBA’s or within MicroStrategy)
T-SQL (DML & DDL) and advanced query writing.
Nice to Have
Exposure ofimplementing/supporting cloud-based solutions (Microsoft Azure preferred)
Agile Development background (SCRUMand/ or KANBAN)
Experience in retail and/or e-commerce
Working knowledge of big data implementationsand associated issues
Knowledge of advanced analytics and insights techniques (e.g.,predictive analytics, machine learning, segmentation)
Experience/ knowledge of software development lifecycle best practice.
