Senior QA Engineer - 12 Month (FTC)

The Customer Care platform team are part of ASOS Technology and we’re here to deliver the tools and technology to empower our Customer Care advisors to provide best in class customer service. This includes building cutting edge reporting that provides a real-time view of advisor productivity and gives Customer Care the insights needed to improve performance and enhance the customer experience.  We’re also all about equipping our advisors with robust, scalable, multi-channel solutions and the tools they need to be their best, so within the CC platform team we’re continually incoming up with innovative new advisor centric tools and services.

We’d love to meet someone who has: 

  • A fantastic understanding of, and experience with, a breadth of testing types and techniques.
  • Passion for building and testing bespoke web services in both an exploratory and automated manner.
  • Experience with working in an agile environment.
  • Thirst for new testing knowledge and you like to share it.
  • Demonstrable experience in being a great team player, strong verbal and written communicator.
  • Experience in mentoring junior team members where possible and helping them progress within their role.
  • Strong analytical skills – the ability to understand and identify missing business requirements and drive conversations around quality with product owners and business customers.
  • Responsibility for defining and driving the test strategy and be the main point of contact regarding quality assurance within your team.
  • Strong technical knowledge – able to interpret technical designs and challenge design decisions.
  • Strong testing background in REST API, Web GUI and cross-browser testing using tools such as Cypress.io, Pact and Postman.
  • Working experience with C# or Java, NUnit/JUnit, SpecFlow and SQL.
  • Working experience with TDD, BDD and ATDD models.
  • Great passion for exploratory testing – asking the “what if” questions and applying these to explore requirements, software and architecture.
  • Working experience with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS).
  • Experience with monitoring applications post release.
  • An appreciation for the non-functional testing areas and some experience with Service continuity and Failure testing, Security and or Accessibility testing for Web.
  • Experience in testing in Production or are super keen to learn.
