We’re looking foraSeniorSoftwareEngineerto join theData Laketeam. This team is responsible for ensuring the big data feeds we receive from external and internal sources is complete, good quality and staged in an easily readable format for machine learning. Our aim is to ensureASOSershave the most relevant data available to enable them to make data driven decisions.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Workingas part ofanenthusiastic and motivated agile development team, comprising software engineers,QAsandBusiness Analysts,to ensure thetechnical requirements of the marketing teamare met in the mostefficient way.

  • Delivering high-qualitysoftwarewhich is future proof, scalable and in-keeping with ASOS standards.Takinga test-first approach from business requirements through to code.

  • Using the latest tech,.NET Core anda large number ofAzure Services.

  • Joiningour regular Tech Develops days to learn new things, take part in internal and external hackathons, share yourknowledgeand help to drive improvements in engineering.

  • Continually develop and improve our code and technology, whilst playing an active role in the conception ofbrand newfeatures for our millions of global customers.

We’d love to meet, someone with…

  • Experience using the latest versions of .NET Framework, .NET Standard and .NET Core (C#).

  • Experience in Azure technologies: Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, Azure Databricks, AzureDatalakeGen1/Gen2, Azure Data Factory

  • Experience with Azure Databricks & Spark (Scala)

  • Git/ Azure DevOps.

  • Acceptance Test Driven Development/ Business Driven development.

  • Experience of working within agile (SCRUM and Kanban) project environments.

  • Strong understanding practitioner of Software Development Lifecycle.
