We’re looking for Software Engineers experienced in developing scalable, well-tested, and maintainable Java applications / microservices using any (or no) framework. You must be able to translate design and specs into beautiful, usable applications. We have a team of the best people you’d ever want to meet, working on some of the most futuristic projects. We are looking for great software engineers for our Austin, TX office; you will be working on developing our market-leading products, in collaboration with our growing engineering teams in our central London office. The future of our product is focused around utilizing AI solutions to revolutionize how we diagnose, treat and prevent diseases; your effort will contribute heavily to the services that connect our core platforms with these services, as well as with our mobile apps and with our 3rd party technology partners.

We want a strong team member, who knows how to work within an agile team to produce high quality software. You will help us build and support great products across Babylon, to make health care affordable and accessible for everyone.

As we are building out our engineering staff in our first technology hub in Austin, TX, we are looking for Senior Software Engineers to help us with our US and global product initiatives.

Position Overview:
The future of our products are focused around utilizing AI solutions to revolutionize how we diagnose, treat and prevent diseases; your effort will contribute heavily.  We are looking for engineers who want to join us on our journey as we continue building our next-generation, award-winning healthcare apps.  

Requirements
·    Experienced in developing scalable, well-tested, and maintainable Java applications and microservices using Docker.
·    Experience with Spring
·    Proficient with Git or Git flow.
·    Experience delivering using CI (continuous integration).
·    Experience working on teams practicing Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
·    Strong and clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
·    B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science.


Preferred Qualifications
·      Experience using AWS with Kubernetes.
·     Experience with Kafka.
·    Experience with Spring Batch.

A Successful Engineer
·      Partner closely with design & product to craft great product experiences.
·    Be a crafts(wo)man and encourage code craftsmanship across team.
·    Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
·    Help define our development environment and communicate the best development practices within the organization (i.e. code reviews, testing, etc.).
·    Continuously monitor the quality of our systems, design measurements (KPIs) to monitor their health (both the engineering systems and data quality).
