Role Summary:The Electrical Engineer for Ultrasound Probes is responsible for the research and development, productization of electrical design for Ultrasound Probes. The position works to identify and execute strategic quality engineering efforts in addition to driving cross-functional engagement of quality project initiatives. This role requires the interaction with production, service and design engineering teams in order to ensure the product quality goals set forth by the business.
Essential Responsibilities:1. Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, service, cost and manufacturability2. Designing new products and/or supporting Installed Base of Analog and/or Digital (may includeFPGAs) electrical circuit boards, components and interconnects.3. Leading design visualization efforts with Electrical CAD (Cadence) and Simulation tools (e.g. PSpice, LTSpice,..)4. Defining and executing component design verification5. Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support6. Working with technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives7. Developing and maintaining electrical subsystem quality and engineering project funnel8. Influencing cross-functional teams to implement quality actions9. Driving reliability plan for electrical design based on customer usability. Developing the transfer function between usability and reliability plan, executing and brining design improvements as needed.10. Conducting analysis of installed base and new product reliability using FMEA, Weibull Analysis and DFR tools11. Leading quality engineering projects that provide imaginative solutions to engineering and customer issues12. Maintain and develop competence required for the jobQuality Specific Goals:1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required4. Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables5. Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements:1. BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with 8+ years of experience or Master with 5+ years of experience 2. Knowledge of standard drafting practices, product structuring, electronics modeling and drawing practices, and engineering analysis techniques.3. Knowledge of power electronics, integrated circuit design, control system design, programming, simulation & test Experience with full product cycle from concept to stable production.4. Low and high voltage DC and AC circuit designs are also required.5. Experience with reliability testing with Weibull Analysis and other Design for Reliability tools will be better6. Demonstrated program/project planning capability7. Demonstrated project leadership and influencing skills
