Key Resource are looking for an experienced Java Developer for an exciting project with a Government organisation in Central London.
The Developer will be responsible for developing scalable backend microservices that provide unified access to passport data through carefully designed APIs for use by myriad Government departments and organisations. Strong experience in code development using Java is required, as well as a strong understanding using AWS and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment of code with this cloud base infrastructure. Any experience of Kubernetes is highly desirable.
You must be able to go through SC Security Clearance process.
Have 5 years’ experience in code development using Java
Have experience and understanding with AWS and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment of code with this cloud based infrastructure
Provide experience of writing micro services
Demonstrate experience of working in an Agile environment and its frameworks.
Provide experience of Object Oriented Programming
Provide experience of Functional Programming
Familiarity with Kubernetes
Experience of utilising Docker for containerisation
Working with or understanding of GraphQL
Knowledge of PostgreSQL databases, data types and functions.
Previous Experience of working in government departments
The contract is expected to last for 2 years; an initial 6 month period followed by a further 18 months depending on needs and performance, and is offering a competitive rate.
