Key Resource are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a project for a Government Organisation in Scotland.
As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing high-level technical requirements in a practical, scalable and performant way, as well as providing coaching and mentoring to more junior colleagues. You will also be responsible for ensuring due technical consideration is given, making processes repeatable, scalable and secure. The ideal DevOps Engineer should have a deep technical knowledge and experience in DevOps environments, as well as the ability to provide support to delivery teams and solve complex problems.
You must be able to go through SC clearance process.
5+ years in a practical DevOps role
Can demonstrate practical experience with RedHat/ Amazon Linux, ECS, and EC2
5+ years’ experience coding with Python, Ansible.
Demonstrable experience of using VCS (Version Control System) in team environments. E.g. Git, Github, BitBucket.
Demonstrable Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Jenkins
Able to demonstrate mentoring colleagues in automation, security, and reliability, within a DevOps context
Demonstrable experience of identifying manual processes suitable for automation
Can demonstrate a firm grasp of DevOps and Agile methodologies
Demonstrable experience of Puppet, LDAP, Nexus
Able to demonstrate they have worked in regulated environments (eg, finance, government)
The contract is expected to last for 12 months and is based in Glasgow. The role has been evaluated by the client as outside IR35, and Key Resource are offering a competitive rate.
