Android Engineer - Freemium Mission (Remote Eligible - EMEA)

The Freemium R&D team oversees the entire user journey on Spotify and ensures we engage with people in innovative ways, every step of the way. Our team grows Spotify’s audience by finding future listeners around the world and delivering the right value to them, at the right time. With research, product development, product design, engineering, and marketing all collaborating in one organization, we’re able to quickly create meaningful features and services for millions of people around the world, resulting in joyful, long-lasting relationships with Spotify. We are looking for thoughtful, well-rounded Android engineers to join our team and help build an application that people use every day to discover and listen to music. You will play an important part in our mobile engineering practice, implementing new features, improving performance, and building beautiful user interfaces. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music. The teams We are currently hiring in 3 of our teams. One of those works on Spotify Lite, a lightweight version of the Spotify app which is available in 42 markets across Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Africa.. This team focuses a lot on optimizing for application size and data consumption of the application. The other two teams work on our main music app, and they work on features for onboarding new users, the start screen, sign up flow and finding out which artists and podcasts users are interested in. Our teams work across multiple platforms and work with Machine Learning to bring the most relevant content to our users.
