You will be building a highly performant, scalable, low latency service in Java to tie customer identities across brands and experiences at Zillow.
You will use technologies including Redis, GraphQL, DynamoDB, and spring boot. This service connects to every home view across Zillowgroup brands. This is an opportunity to work at scale on a project which crosses all of the Group’s brands as well as all of the company's lines of business.
You will focus primarily on hands-on coding (with robust unit testing) and system design. In addition you'll work to build out integration testing, monitoring, and alerting for the services
You have a quality understanding of software development fundamentals - time and space complexity, data structures, object oriented and functional development approaches
You have expertise in Java, Spring, and contemporary server side architecture and distributed systems
You have experience building and integrating with REST APIs and service architecture
You have experience of profiling and correcting memory usage issues, and optimizing code for performance
You are responsive and timely in communication. Need to have a good sense of downstream customers to be able to communicate changes that might affect them.
You have a real passion for writing clean and well-tested code
You love to creatively tackle ambitious problems
Hands-on experience with a cloud provider such as AWS, GCE or Azure
A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or equivalent work experience
