Engineers on our team are responsible for crafting and delivering critical products and services to deliver home updates and recommendations to users through email and push notifications! Ideal candidates will contain strong backend skills surrounding data pipelining as well as bring strong leadership skills to lead and solve sophisticated problems. Would you love to:
Design and implement reliable, performant, and scalable backend services
Provide leadership that helps navigate the team through complicated technical challenges
Collaborate across different teams to ensure smooth project delivery for large cross-team projects
Exercise agile development style to deliver and iterate quickly
Advocate for the highest quality of work through unit testing, automation testing, and monitoring
Mentor junior engineers on the team and help them grow their career
5+ years of software development experience with high proficiency in Java, C++, C#, or another object-oriented language.
Knowledgeable with various data-layer technologies such as Transact-SQL/PostgreSQL, Redis/Memcache, or Scylla/Cassandra
Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related field; or 8+ years of relevant experience
Proven experience in designing, developing, debugging, and delivering back end services
Efficient communicator who is open to ideas and suggestions
Knowledge surrounding streaming technologies such as Kinesis and Kafka a plus
